Yamashita Atsuko (山下敦子) is the singer of the duo, plus she writes all the lyrics and helps KATSU with arrangments. Even though she was born in the same town as KATSU, the two didn't meet until they went to the same music school in Tokyo. These two struggling artists bonded and the rest is history.
KATSU (平里勝敬) is a guitar playing maniac. He really enjoys dressing up all crazy and being photographed in amusing ways (you should see the cd jackets). In addition to guitar, this guy composes, arranges, and plays the keyboard. The truth of it is that KATSU is the reason that angela is still alive. His improvisation of Zankoku na Tenshi no Teeze (cruel angel's thesis), a very popular tune from Evangelion, impressed a KING RECORDS representative. Not too shabby.
